Hawk Performance Compound Brake Pads
HB671N.628 - Hawk HP Plus Brake Pads;
Hawk High Performance Plus (HP+) disc brake pads utilize a proprietary, high-tech iron-carbon friction material, developed and manufactured for performance autocross, Solo II, and track day applications. The iron-carbon formulation offers lower wear rates and higher torque ratings than other competitive materials. These pads offer a significant increase in braking torque and temperature range compared to OEM pads and are typically recommended for beginners with little or no track experience looking for an upgrade from stock pads.
Operating Temperatures: 37-430°C
Optimal Temperature Range: 150-315°C
HB671D.628 - Hawk ER-1 Brake Pads
The ER-1 compound was developed by Hawk Performance for the endurance racing market with a simple goal: to offer a higher coefficient of friction than competing endurance pads, while maintaining equal or greater durability. Years of testing at America's most prestigious races have resulted in a comprehensive compound that offers ideal modulation and pedal communication, with unprecedented friction stability across the entire temperature range. This consistent performance, hour after hour, makes it ideal not only for endurance racing, but also for track days, time attacks, and even sprint races.
Operating Temperatures: 200-870°C
Optimum Temperature Range: 370-590°C
HB671G.628 - Hawk DTC-60 Brake Pads
Hawk's DTC-60 racing compound offers extremely high deceleration and superior modulation and release characteristics. This is not an entry-level racing compound and should not be used on the street. It should be used by experienced riders with track experience who have had problems with less aggressive compounds overheating or lacking bite.
Hawk DTC-60 racing brake pads have the same temperature range as Hawk's DTC-70 pads, but produce less braking torque. Many drivers of smaller, lighter cars often use DTC-60 pads on the front and DTC-30 pads on the rear, while on larger, heavier, high-performance, or racing cars, DTC-60 pads are more often used on the rear and DTC-70 pads on the front.
Operating Temperatures: 205-870°C
Optimum Temperature Range: 370-595°C
HB671U.628 - Hawk DTC-70 Brake Pads
Hawk DTC-70 pads are more aggressive than DTC-60 pads, but have the same temperature range. Many drivers of Corvettes, Mustangs, Porsches, BMWs, and other race cars choose to use DTC-70 pads on the front and DTC-60 pads on the rear. It's a truly race-winning solution, alone or in combination with DTC-60 pads.
Operating Temperatures: 205-870°C
Optimum Temperature Range: 425-650°C
