Hawk High Performance Plus (HP+) disc brake pads use a unique high-tech ferro-carbon friction material developed and manufactured for sport driving in autocross, Solo II and "track day" applications. The ferro-carbon formulation offers lower wear rates and higher torque values than other competitive materials. These pads offer a significant increase in braking torque and temperature range over OEM pads and are usually recommended for beginners who have little or no track experience and are looking for an upgrade over stock pads.
